We can confirm the departure of Catriona McAllister from our women’s side ahead of the new season.
The striker scored 29 goals for Gerry Gallacher’s side last campaign as the team competed well in the SWFL West division.
Catriona signed off with 4 goals against Ardrossan Winton Rovers last month, but the forward has chosen to move on ahead of the new season.
Women’s team manager Gallacher commented: ““We wish Catriona all the best as she moves on to her new side.
“It is always disappointing to lose a member of the team.
“I worked with Catriona for a number of years, but we at DFC are confident that we have enough talent within the squad to take on the challenge of this year’s SWFL Central/West league campaign.”
Catriona will operate as a trialist for her new side as registration is transferred over and this will be confirmed by her new side upon completion of this process.
Also departing the women’s side are Oliva Oliver as we previously updated on and Phoebe Park, who has departed due to work commitments.
Coming into the squad is Amy MacPherson, the 15-year-old has been playing as a trialist but she has now joined the first-team squad on an initial loan from Dumbarton United that the club will look to make permanent later in the season.
Amy is a huge talent and at her age is already at the level required to push for a starting spot in Gallacher’s side.
