CAN YOU HELP STEPHEN OUT?

Friday 31st July 2020

CLUB poet Stephen Watt is involved in a photo essay project due for national publication, and is inviting Sons fans to help out.

Stephen has teamed up with his fellow bard, St Johnstone fan Jim Mackintosh, entitled ‘Tied to my Club’, reflecting the current period when fans are unable to attend matches.

Fans of all clubs, including Dumbarton of course, are invited to send artistic photographs reflecting their feelings on the current times.

Contributions will be collated for a photo essay in periodical Nutmeg, to be published later in 2020.

Stephen said: “It would be great if we received poetry, a couple of lines, or a verse – it doesn’t have to rhyme.

“But importantly, we want fans to capture this historical moment in our own words.

“We will pull them all together and publish the best in a photographic essay in Nutmeg Football Periodical at the end of the year.

“There is also the possibility of a book if the quantity and quality of submissions is good enough. We think it will be.

“We want contributions from any and all clubs; not just the pro teams. So if your team is in the lower leagues or the juniors the message is just as important.”

“Send us a photograph of your label, your napkin, your deflated football – your words.”

An example photograph by Stephen is pictured above.

Photos should be sent by email to tiedtomyclub@gmail.com, reasonably sized, and there is no limit to the number of photos that can be sent.
