SONS youth coaches had a busy time at the Dumbarton Football Stadium tonight as the club welcomed new members of the under-13s squad.
Richie Salveta, Sons head of youth and 13s coaches Alan Campbell and Jon Haughie completed the formalities in the community suite.
Commenting on the process, Richie said : “The players joining us tonight were identified from our extensive trial process where under-12 players have been assessed since February with a view to selecting the top players available from this age group.
“The boys we now have in place will be complimented by the best of the rest available players whom we have the opportunity to bring in over the next few weeks.
“It’s an exciting time and a busy period too.
“All of what we’re doing right now is aligned with our youth development vision, where we are determined to produce a continuing stream of Academy players who will one day play for our first team.”
