DUMBARTON are back in action tonight at home to Clyde in a rearranged fixture, and there has already been some good news ahead of the match.

After working with the physio team at his parent club, Hibernian, goalkeeper Kevin Dabrowski (pictured) is fit after injury in the warm-up ruled him out of Saturday’s game against Airdrieonians.

He is set to come back into contention as Sons look to continue their unbeaten league start against the Cumbernauld side in a game which has a 7pm kick-off.

Under our new digital sponsorship package, the match is sponsored by Signs Express Glasgow, to whom we express sincere thanks.

Off the back of an impressive victory over Airdrie, manager Jim Duffy is looking for the same hardworking attitude and spirit against a Clyde side looking for a response to its weekend defeat.

The gaffer said: “Saturday’s victory was an excellent result and a polished effort all round by the players, but it is in the past now.

“Our focus shifts to playing Clyde tonight and I will be looking for exactly the same endeavour and cutting edge which got us the points at Airdrie.

“It’s a boost for us that Kevin is fit, but as with Saturday we are running with a tight squad and every player will need to play his part this evening.

“They’re keen to get back out on to the pitch and try to record another result, which is exactly the spirit we want to see, although we know it will be tough.”

Sons will wait on the fitness of their other goalkeeper, Chris Smith, while Denny Johnstone, PJ Crossan and Donald Morrison remain out. It is hoped that at least one of that trio will return to face East Fife on Saturday.

Stefan McCluskey also remains out with his shoulder injury but has a role to play in tonight’s game – as he’s in the commentary box for our live streaming service.

To watch the game as it happens tonight, make sure you are registered at and tune in for the broadcast from 6.05pm.

Our season ticket holders will of course be able to watch at no additional charge. Non-season ticket holders, and Clyde fans, will pay £12 to watch.

If you can’t get to a monitor, we’ll have updates via our Twitter feed @dumbartonfc and a full report will be online here on the club website as soon as possible after the final whistle.

The latest word from the C&G Systems Stadium is that the pitch is holding up well after work over the weekend and yesterday, and there are no issues ahead of tonight’s game.

Clyde’s only match since the game’s original date of Saturday, October 24 was their 2-0 defeat at home to Peterhead on Saturday.

Their line-up for that was: Mitchell; Bain, Sheils, McNiff, Cuddihy, Syvertsen (Palmer 62, Johnston 70), Goodwillie, Love (Robertson 72), Cunningham (Henderson 62), Lang, Jack (Lamont 46). Subs: Vajs; Rumsby.

The officials tonight are the same as for the game’s previous date. Duncan Williams is the referee with assistance from Stuart Stevenson and Ross Haswell.

And one last time – 7pm kick-off! We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible online for the game.
