RIVER City actor Stephen Purdon is among the dozens who have taken to social media to react to Dumbarton’s fantastic progress to the Irn Bru Cup final.
Sons defeated The New Saints in a dramatic and euphoric semi-final triumph last night.
And Purdon, who plays Shellsuit Bob in the soap, which is filmed in Dumbarton, was among those who posted their congratulations.
He Tweeted: “Congratulations @Dumbartonfc on yesterday’s result! Got a wee soft spot for youse as it’s where wev (sic) always filmed @bbcrivercity! Aw the best in the final troops!”
