Saturday 17th May 2014
STRIKER Garry Fleming today agreed to remain at The Bet Butler Stadium for another season after agreeing terms.
Local lad Garry, who celebrates his birthday today, returned to the senior ranks in July 2012 after two seasons with top Ayrshire junior outfit Irvine Meadow, signing for then gaffer Alan Adamson.
Previously with Albion Rovers, Carluke and Bellshill, he was Meadow’s top scorer in season 2011/12 with 27 goals in all competitions, most of them in the earlier part of the season.
Those goals helped Meadow win the Stagecoach West of Scotland Super League premier division title for the second year running, and also the New Coins Automatics West of Scotland Cup.
He has made the transition back to senior football with distinction and he will undoubtedly play a major role in the season ahead.
Happy Birthday Garry!
