RECENT events have reminded us about how important it is that all of us in football take a strong stand against all racism, hatred and bigotry within the game.
It is essential that this anti-discrimination commitment is about more than words and gestures, and should extend to how we conduct ourselves at every level.
Dumbarton FC recently updated our policy in this area, and we will look to ensure that this has a real impact on the life of the Club.
That includes listening to those who experience prejudice, abuse and ill-treatment of any kind, and responding appropriately.
We are, of course, pleased to be part of Show Racism the Red Card, anti-sectarianism initiatives and similar programmes aimed at ensuring that football is open and welcoming for all, both at this club and beyond.
