DARREN Barr has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal at DFC for season 2016/2017.
Barr, who is team captain, signed his new contract this morning and will join up for pre-season training on June 18th.
Arriving from Ross County last summer, the reliable 31-year-old defender has earned a reputation as one of the most consistent performers in the Championship.
Delighted Sons boss Stevie Aitken said of the news: “I’m very happy indeed that Darren has signed for next season.
“He’s been a captain on and off the pitch and we are pleased to get an extension deal agreed.”
