Backroom staff changes
Goalkeeper coach Eric Phillips and Head of Youth Gordon Scanlan have taken the decision to leave Dumbarton to pursue other opportunities.
Popular coach Eric joined the club in the summer of 2021 from Stranraer, serving for five seasons and supporting a number of keepers – including Brett Long and Harry Broun as they set a club record for clean sheets in the 2022/23 campaign.
Gordon meanwhile initially joined as first team analyst, before combining the role with heading up our youth pathway – which has grown from strength-to-strength under his leadership.
Boss Frank McKeown said: “Both Eric and Gordon have worked tirelessly during their time at Dumbarton and it has been a pleasure working with them. They have been great ambassadors for the club, and I know that everyone at the club appreciate their efforts over the last five years.
“I’m sure they will have every success in the next stage of their careers.”
All at DFC wish both Eric and Gordon all the best in their new roles and look forward to welcoming them back to The Rock – sponsored by Marbill Coaches as supporters.
We’ll announce news of their replacements in due course.
