THE outstanding sum of £4,700 was raised during a fundraising auction as Sons fans and others dug deep to make further contributions to DFC during the Covid-19 pandemic.
A last-minute rush saw the total boosted and one lot has even had to be given to two bidders!
We are now in a position to announce the owners of all the lots which were up for grabs.
A top from former Sons player and Kilmarnock’s 1997 Scottish Cup-winning captain Ray Montgomerie – David Richardson
A ball signed by members of the club’s promotion-winning squad of 1983/84 – David Kemp
Top signed by Sonstrust player of the year Kyle Hutton – Lauren Simpson
Top signed by club captain Stuart Carswell – Alex Westwater
The chance to play in a five-a-side game with our players – Sons Supporters Team and Callum Stewart
An away matchday experience, travelling on the team bus, sitting in the directors’ box and other benefits – Paul McDonald
A table for two at hospitality with Sons legend Murdo MacLeod – Scott Mackie
A signed Rangers ball/programme and Bob Malcolm top from the final day of season 2002/03 when the Ibrox side won the league – Jack Gibson
Premier season ticket with all the benefits – Brian Wright
All bids and interest, whether successful or not, were very much appreciated by the club. We are extremely grateful for all expressions of support during these tough times.
A reminder that our crowdfunding page remains open for those who wish to make further donations. The page reached its £25,000 target last month, but all contributions remain welcome.
We will keep you posted on further fundraising initiatives while the Covid-19 pandemic remains ongoing.
There has already been interest expressed in a possible further auction.
