ANOTHER CHALLENGE FOR DUMBARTON

Friday 29th September 2017

SONS are back on the road tomorrow, visiting the Tony Macaroni Arena for the first time this season, where Livingston are our hosts.

After back-to-back home wins against Brechin City and Inverness Caley Thistle, boss Stevie Aitken will be hoping that 100th game in charge at Almondvale will see his team’s good form continue.

He said : “We’ve done very well recently and the players deserve all the credit for two wins.

“Livingston have started the season with a bang and may have surprised a few people but they have recruited well and will be tough opponents tomorrow.

“As usual during the week we have trained very well and the players are all looking forward to the game.”

Referee Mat Northcroft – a familiar face to Sons fans – will be in charge and will be assisted by Andrew McWilliam and Chris Phillips.

The injured trio of Grant Gallagher, Danny Handling and Stuart Carswell continue to make progress but all will be missing tomorrow. With no other injuries or suspensions, manager Stevie Aitken in his 100th game in charge, has a full squad to choose from.
