NEW signing Robert Thomson has already won his first award since signing for Dumbarton – without playing a game for the club.
The striker, signed from Brechin City earlier this week, has been named as League One’s player of the month for April.
It comes after his scoring exploits for the Glebe Park club, including a hat-trick in a 5-1 win over Peterhead, which led Sons gaffer Stevie Aitken to make him a signing target.
Robert’s prize made it a double success for Brechin, whose gaffer Darren Dods was named the division’s manager of the month after leading the team to survival.
