DUMBARTON Football Club are delighted to announce another exciting partnership for the club.
After teaming up with award winning chef Chris Rouse who has been taking hospitality to a new level, the club is planning a fun packed year of entertainment with local celebrity and Freddie Mercury tribute act, Jim Smart.
As well as running his own business Best Acts and local TV station Loch Lomond TV, Jim has found great success travelling the country for 20 years performing as Freddie Mercury.
Jim will be the club’s resident entertainer and is kicking off with an 80s tribute night at the moreroom.com Stadium on Saturday, November 20.
This will be followed by his much anticipated return as Freddie Mercury on Friday, December 3 and an ABBA tribute night on Saturday, December 11. These events include dinner prepared by our fantastic chef Chris Rouse.
All ticket info is on the Best Acts website.
Jim is a member of Scotsoul, a local quintet harmony group who reached the Grand Final of BBC’s Pitch Battle in 2017, along with five other acts now competing for a first prize of £50,000.
In the second round they were crowned winners by Chaka Khan, who joined them on stage to sing one of her greatest hits.
Jim is very excited to be working with the hospitality team at the club and is looking forward to many fun filled nights at the stadium.
Sonstrust Director Stephanie Park said: “There have been a lot of very positive changes at the club recently.
“We’ve brought in a new bar manager and chef who fitted the profile of the club. I am delighted Gary and Chris are settling in nicely and I’m happy to report very positive feedback on matchday hospitality.
“It has been difficult as we have been hosting it in the Boardroom due to restrictions. However we’ve adapted the facilities and added some extras which is making the day really enjoyable.
“To add Jim Smart to our hospitality team is absolutely fantastic. Jim has years of experience in the entertainment industry and is bringing a very positive vibe to the function side of the club.
“Add that to Gary’s expertise in running events, and I have no doubt the club will soon be back on the map as the place to go for great food and entertainment.”
Loch Lomond TV are also intending to be part of the Dumbarton FC 150th anniversary celebration in 2022, with discussions ongoing.
