LORRAINE WATSON is the referee for tomorrow’s game away to Alloa Athletic, making it the first ever Dumbarton game to be refereed by a woman.
Lorraine is in her second season as a category one referee, and has already taken charge of a cinch League One fixture this season, when Airdrieonians beat Montrose 4-1 in February.
A number of female assistant referees have operated at our games in recent years, but based on all the records we hold, tomorrow’s game at the Indodrill will see our first woman referee.
Stuart Stevenson and Paul O’Neill will be the assistants.
