New away kit revealed
We’re delighted to reveal our custom made new away kit for 2026/27, the first in our new partnership with VSN Sport, which we will debut in tomorrow’s Premier Sports Cup game with Dunfermline Athletic.
A throwback to some historic gold pinstriped designs from throughout our history, the C&G Systems sponsored strip is crafted exclusively in the club’s official colours – launched earlier this year – and will be a welcome return to the Old Gold colour that many of us grew up watching Sons playing in.
Head of Merchandising Kyle Graham has worked closely with Glasgow-based VSN and Gary Black, who has led efforts to return club branding to our original colours, on the project.
Our thanks once again go to our long-standing and loyal sponsors C&G Systems for their support.
Dave Gordon, Managing Director at C&G Systems, said: “At C&G, we are immensely proud and deeply honoured to continue our journey with Dumbarton Football Club as the club’s front-of-shirt away sponsor for the new season.
“For us, this partnership has never been just about a logo on a football shirt. It is about standing shoulder to shoulder with our community, supporting a club that means so much to so many people, and doing our part through our commitment to corporate social responsibility and community spirit. Dumbarton FC represents pride, resilience and identity, and we are privileged to play a small role in its story.
“This season’s shirt carries a particularly meaningful symbol. The Canadian Maple Leaf within the C&G logo is a heartfelt tribute to the club’s owner, Mario, and a gesture of appreciation for his leadership, generosity and unwavering belief in both our club and the local community. It is a reminder that behind every sponsorship are people who genuinely care about making a positive difference.
“Our support for Dumbarton FC began in the 2018/19 season, and we are incredibly proud that this marks nine consecutive seasons of backing the club. During that time, the club has faced some of the toughest challenges in its proud history. Through every high and every low, we have remained committed because we believe that true support is not measured only in moments of success, but in the willingness to stand together when times are hardest.
“As we look ahead to the new season, we do so with genuine excitement, optimism and anticipation. Football has a unique power to bring people together, create unforgettable memories and inspire hope for the future. We are thrilled to continue this journey with the club, and we sincerely hope the supporters love the new away strip as much as we do.
“To the players, staff, volunteers and every loyal Sons supporter: thank you for your passion, your loyalty and your belief in this club. We are proud to stand with you once again and look forward to another season of fighting, dreaming and celebrating together.
“From everyone at C&G – here’s to a new season, new memories and a bright future for Dumbarton Football Club. Come on the Sons!”
DFC Head of Merchandising Kyle Graham added: “We’re absolutely delighted to unveil our eagerly anticipated new away kit. With the positive reaction to the home kit, we we know fans were desperate to see our away colours – and we’re sure this strip won’t disappoint.
“Working closely with the team at VSN, it was important that the design reflected the traditions and identity of Dumbarton Football Club while delivering a look that we hope supporters will be proud to wear both on matchdays and beyond. Declan Allan has knocked it out the park with these kits.
“We look forward to working closely with VSN and are excited about what this partnership can deliver for the club in the seasons ahead. Sons fans can look forward to wearing some really great training wear pieces and of course further additions to our merchandise range.”
Drew Campbell of VSN Sport added: “We’re extremely proud to be partnering with one of Scotland’s most historic clubs as our first SPFL partnership.
“Dumbarton’s kits and colours are some of the most iconic in Scottish football and it’s been fantastic working to create designs that blend history with a contemporary edge.
“We hope that fans like the new designs and look forward to meeting supporters throughout the season as we launch our full new range for 2026/27.”
