Connor Campbell has become Dumbarton’s fourth new face of the summer, inking a two-year deal at The Rock – sponsored by Marbill Coaches subject to SFA approval.
The left-sided defender, 19, came through the ranks at Rangers – earning a call-up to the Scotland U19s squad last season.
He featured 18 times during a loan spell with our William Hill League 2 rivals Stirling Albion during the 2025/26 campaign, as well as playing against us for Rangers B in the SPFL Trust Trophy.
Now he’s a Dumbarton player having impressed as a trialist in Saturday’s game against Linlithgow Rose.
Boss Frank McKeown said: “I was aware of Connor from his loan spell in League 2 last season and he impressed me. There are a number of good people in the game who can’t speak highly enough of Connor, and his attitude and character are key parts of any successful dressing room.
“He has been in training with us now since the start of the season and you can see his quality on the ball and is a very good defender. The fact he can play left centre-back and left-back shows he’s adaptable and that’s so important when you’re trying to build a squad.
“He built up experience in his time with Stirling Albion last season, and is someone with a lot of potential. He’s a good age, we have him for two years and we’re delighted Connor sees his future development here. I’ve no doubt our supporters will enjoy watching him.”
