The big kick-off in William Hill League 2 might still be a few weeks away, however Sons’ pre-season schedule has now been confirmed. With friendlies giving fans the chance to see Frank McKeown’s new look side in action.
All matches will take place away from home, with work ongoing to get the new artificial surface at The Rock – sponsored by Marbill Coaches completed in time for the new league season getting underway. We’ll also play a closed door game on Saturday, July 4.
Currently the Ayr United game is open only to season ticket holders at Somerset Park, but the club is liaising with the Honest Men in the hope that Sons fans will also be welcomed.
Competitive football returns on Saturday, July 11 when we host St Mirren in the Premier Sports Cup group stages – with the venue for that and our other home match, against Cove Rangers on Saturday, July 25, to be confirmed shortly.
- Saturday, June 20, Linlithgow Rose (Prestonfield), kick-off 3pm
- Saturday, June 27, Stirlingshire Cup* (Ochilview Park), Stenhousemuir (12pm), Stirling Albion (2pm)
- Tuesday, June 30, Ayr United (Somerset Park), kick-off 7.30pm (currently only open to Ayr United season ticket holders)
*60 minute games.
The winner of each Stirlingshire Cup group will contest the final, which will take place on Tuesday, 7 July at the Indodrill Stadium, Alloa. Kick-off 7:45pm.
