AS if taking a giant step towards survival wasn’t enough incentive for Dumbarton to go for goals against Ayr United today, there is an extra one.
Whoever scores Sons’ third goal in ‘Le Crunch’ (if, of course, there is a third goal) will be putting away the club’s 500th goal at what is now the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium.
The 1,000th goal overall at the stadium is likely to be scored next season.
Sons will, of course, take a victory of any margin today, but good luck to them in both goals!
