Dumbarton Football Club are delighted to announce that Gordon Scanlan has been appointed as the clubs Head of Youth Development.

Gordon told the clubs website: “I’m really pleased and honoured to be given this opportunity.
“We have put in a lot of hard work over the last year to get the youth system up and running and whilst the early signs are positive, we know we can always do better.
“There are a lot of exciting players across our youth network and I’m looking forward to working with all of the coaches and players.
“We have seen the likes of Luca Vata make his mark on the first-team over the last year or so but we want him to be the first in a long line of players coming through the pathway.”
All at Dumbarton FC would also like to put on record our thanks to David Lavery, who has parted company with the club after managing the under-20’s.
