17-year old John Cunningham (pictured) grabbed a hat-trick to help steer Sons under-20s to a 6-0 win against Stranraer today.
Sons raced to a five goal lead at half-time, with additions from Andrew Biddulph and Keir Whitfield.
A Glenn Eadie direct free-kick in the second period rounded off the scoring and sealed an impressive victory.
Head of youth Richie Salveta and new development coach Alan Waddell were delighted at the result.
Richie said : “Alan and myself are very pleased with the performance and result.
“With a clean sheet, it gives the players confidence going into Tuesday night’s SFA youth cup tie against Edu Sport Academy.”

SFA Youth Cup tie on Tuesday night kicks off at 8pm at Pefermill in Edinburgh v Edusport Academy. The winners of this tie will face Spartans in the next round.
