DUMBARTON 20s team got off to a disappointing start to their SPFL Development League West season losing 3-0 to Queens Park.

All three goals came in the first half at the Toryglen Football Centre, ensuring Sons hosts would collect all three points.

Sons managed to stem the flow in the second period and had an excellent opening 20 minute spell but couldn’t convert possession into goals.

Coach Colin Nish said :”Our lads did reasonably well against a more physical and experienced team

“Despite the final scoreline, it was a good learning experience for them.”
