The 2024 Dumbarton Football Club Burns Supper is set to return in the New Year, with an exciting line-up scheduled.
The annual event will take place at the Dumbarton Football Stadium on Friday, February 23, as we celebrate the life and works of Scotland’s National Bard.
A three-course meal will be supplied by Alex Graham Catering as well as a terrific schedule of speakers and entertainment.
The line-up for the evening is as follows:
The Immortal Memory – Given by renowned speaker and local school teacher Graham Hill. Graham is a major local source of Burns history and knowledge and has spoken at Burns events all over the UK, including at the prestigious Caledonian Club in London.
Toast to the Lassies – Given by one of Scotland’s most popular speakers, Iain Gordon. A former senior police officer with Strathclyde Police, Iain is a speaker not to be missed, with decades of experience on the Burns and after-dinner speaking circuit.
Reply on behalf of the Lassies – Given by singer, actress and entertainer Kerry Burley. A fast-emerging performer on the Burns circuit, Kerry will also be performing songs for us on the night.
Tam o’ Shanter – Stuart Brodie will be returning to perform Burns’ iconic poem. He has recited Tam o’ Shanter at Burns Suppers all over the world, and you will see why when you see him perform it.
Songs – Sons fan and local businessman Robert Ryan will once again perform from his repertoire.
Tickets can be obtained by contacting Andy Galloway at firstname.lastname@example.org and cost £30.
