FOR the second successive week, Sons 19s gifted a last minute equaliser to miss the chance to take three points against Queens Park this afternoon.
A lacklustre first half ended 0-0 with few chances for either team
In 68 minutes Donald McCallum (pictured) opened the scoring with a good strike following the Spiders failure to deal with a cross from their left flank.
And with just seconds remaining in the game, Queens Park grabbed a goal and a share of the spoils to the disappointment of Sons players and coaches.
Coach Richie Salvetta said: “Another good performance.
“The lads deserved a win with a very professional performance only to concede an equaliser in the 92nd minute from a direct free kick.
“We had several chances to finish the game off but didn’t capitalise on them.”
Team – 1. Fulton, 2 Martin 3, Alexander, 4 Lightbody (captain), 5 Edgar.
