SONS under-17s signed-off from a remarkable season with a 3-1 victory against Raith Rovers last night.
Goals from Clark and Hopkins together with a magnificent strike by youngster McCallum gave the Sons their 15th win of the season.
It was yet another impressive performance in what was a good season for the team.
In 20 matches Richard Salveta’s team lost only once and the coach -pictured right – is delighted with the campain just finished.
He said : “I’m pleased for the lads. They have all worked hard and to lose only one game throughout the season is fantastic.”
Richard also has high hopes for some of his players who are destined for a career in the game.
He continued : “It’s no secret that Ian Murray is keen on a few of the boys stepping up and hopefully we’ll have positive news on that very soon.
“The youth development initiative is vital to the ongoing success of Dumbarton and we provide a good platform for lads who want to progress.”
